what seazon should i go and what kind of job.i am thinking to work in a hotel because i believe it will be difficult to find a job on the cacino.i am greek and i am speaking very good english.i speak also some italians.how are you recoment me to look for a job.where can i find a place to stay for living?

all casinos do hair testing in Vegas. If you have done any drugs in the past couple years it will show. Otherwise, good luck! Its great money, a horrible town, and its quickly running out of water. Awesome area though if you like hiking, water sports while lake meade still exists, and facades of all the places that are actually cool in the world. Places are pretty cheap. Save a little money before you go and DONT GAMBLE. Good Luck! You can make 500 dollars a day at margaritaville...

It is very cold in the winter, right now it is about 40 degrees with the wind chill factor. It gets very hot in the summer 100 degrees plus. If you are planning to work in hospitality (hotel/casino)..you can apply directly at the hotels/casino. There are certain work cards that you will need to apply for. I don't work in that particular field so I am not sure where you would go for that. You should definitely do some internet research about job requirements before you make the move. There are places you can move into that you pay by the week. Sorry about the little information I'm able to offer. Good luck to you.

you can work as a valet, a doorman, a shuttle driver, car rental employee, etc. a lot of work in vegas or you can drive a limousine. you can rent a decent 1 bedroom apartment away from the strip. the season to go is when you're ready to work. anytime is a best time when you're ready.

How much money does a barback make working in a las vegas nightclub, resturaunt, or casino per night ? I looked into this when I lived in Vegas. The permits vary depending on where you work, but you must have at the very minimum, the food safety one(sorry can't remember the exact name of the course. A resturant will be able to tell you.) If you are serious about making some cash, you want to get on at a casino. But beware, these jobs take a long time to get! You must have cleared background checks, drug screens, multiple interviews, and you must have another liscense to work in a casino. I'm thinking Vegas is a place where you must have a bartending liscense as well. Not positive though. I was looking for a quick job, so this didn't suit me. But there is SERIOUS money to be made if you're willing to put up with the process. Good luck! If you're looking for a quick job, try Tmobile customer service, it's paid training, and the pay is very nice.

I'm not sure about how much, but it's a tough road. I know a guy who went there to tend. Casinos only hire bartenders who are union. The union goes by seniority. To get a good job, you have to go through several years of taking dregs jobs at derelict bars. My nephew tended bar at a casino. You know how casinos "comp" customers by giving them drinks? That drink isn't free. The cost came out of my nephew's wages and tips.

im a bartender 60 miles from vegas in a casino. i have worked in vegas also. you do need a sheriffs card to work at most places in nv either a gaming one or not. all casinos are not union. barbacks can making decent money depending on where you work. the irs taxes me on 7 dollars an hr. and you do not need a bartenders license. in vegas you do need to take a alchol awareness class. TAM i believe. alot of money to be made in vegas.

Is this question about visitation or custody? I am confused about what you are asking. Are you saying that you are considering not allowing him to have visitation just because he's behind on his support? If that's the case, then no, you can't do that. Just because he's behind on his support after being laid off, he still gets to see his daughter. There's no mention in here that he's trying to get custody of your daughter so I'm assuming you weren't talking about that.

Without details, you wont get an exact answer.... for example: To work in a bar/restaurant you need a sheriffs card, a health card and a TAM card to work in a casino you need a sheriffs card and a TAM card. Really think of it as this, if you are working in gaming you need a sheriffs card if you work anywhere you are serving something people ingest you need a Health Card If you work where people are drinking alcohol, you need a TAM card.

SumGirl gave a great answer! If you work outside the casino/gaming and food/beverage fields, then the requirements are about the same as any other state, just a driver's license and social security card and if necessary and license or permit that may be required for any sort of specialized work.

Sure. The problem is there are probably several hundred other candidates out there also looking to do the same thing. So the easy thing is not finding work, it is beating other candidates to take a position. Like LA, Vegas is the sort of town that thousands of people flock to every month looking for a new life, or to fulfill a dream. So whatever you are going there for, you are probably not the only one. So the trick is to be that good, and stand out so well, that you can be the lucky one who gets the opportunity you are looking for.

Most likely you will not get a job on the Strip as a poker dealer right out of school unless you know someone. There is a progression you have to go through to get the better jobs in Las Vegas. Generally, you would start either at a Indian Casino that is local to you, or if you are really good coming out of school, at a casino that is off the strip or in Laughlin. Everyone thinks they are pretty good coming out of school, but the key differences between someone fresh out of school and a true professional dealer are: Wash/Shuffle - Experienced dealers will get through the wash, shuffle, cut process in less than 15 seconds. Time is money for the house and the dealer and time cant be wasted on this step. Pitch - A good professional will deal around a full table in less than 20 seconds and has no problem dealing over blinds and/or dealer buttons. You must have a good pitch and confidently pitch over items to even be considered at a top casino. Game Control - An experienced dealer will keep the action moving and be able to read the winning hand immediately as it is shown. Once the winning hand is determined, the dealer will push the pot, push the dealer button, drop the rake and kill the winning hand (push/push/drop/kill) in just a few seconds to get the next hand going. I would suggest 1 year at a break in casino near you. Once you have some experience dealing live games, you can then do auditions for good casinos in Las Vegas and even the WSOP events, as they hire hundreds of dealers right before the Series.

Community service type work? Check with local senior citizen homes, pet rescue/adoption centers, Veterinarian offices, Child day care centers, those kind of places. They generally are willing to take in volunteer help.

it doesnt. haven't you ever been there? Having been there 3 times i can tell you that on the main strip everything is ok, but behind the hotels and off the strip it smells terrible!

Vegas has a good brochure on their system. All of the sewage will either gravity flow or be pumped to the treatment facility. The brochure picks up from there.

It's up to the casino. Some may accept it, some may not. But if you have the temporary DMV ID as well, I think it should be OK.

With this new system the same in all states you will be fine. Bring your expired photo ID that has the hole punched in it. That hole means you have applied for the new license and for them to ask for your paper work they issued you. It is the same as if you were stopped by your local police .... They even tell you to carry both. Most of the time when asked for you ID here they will look at your photo, birthdate and if it has a hole they know you have applied for your new ID. Most of the time they won't even ask for the paperwork but best to have just in case. Expired passport won't work.
