About how does a baseball parlay card work in Las Vegas

How does a baseball parlay card work in Las Vegas?
Only a few casinos offer baseball parlay cards and I was wondering how they work. Do these cards offer the moneylines, runlines, and totals on all games? Also, are the cards printed fresh everyday or is it like football where the card is the same every week and each team corresponds to a different number? I know all about parlays and all of the bets....just need to know about the parlay cards specifically. I am looking to make a high amount of bets in a short period of time...so I have to use the cards!!!

Answer 1 :
I have never bet a baseball parlay in a casino before but I do play them all the time on Bodog. On there you can play run lines, money lines and totals combined. I just played one Sunday to give you an idea of the payouts on there--I played a 3 team parlay of the Padres -140, Yankees -155, and the Tigers at -150. I bet $40 and won $152. You should be able to play parlays at any casino that has a sportsbook. I am not sure if it comes on a card with numbers or not because the odds change from minute to minute, but you should still be able to walk up to a betting window and describe the parlay you would like to play. Good luck!
Answer 2 :
The way baseball parlay cards work is with runs. The bigger the money line favorite the more runs they will be favored by. So a baseball parlay card is always - or + runs. The payoffs are always the same unlike baseball moneyline parlays where each one differs. The cards are the same all season but obviously the lines are different daily. The casino will put a print out of the days odds where they put the rest of the odds sheets. Then you just circle in your plays and they run it in the machine like any other parlay card. I hope this answers your question.

About how does betting on the superbowl work in Las Vegas

How does betting on the superbowl work in Las Vegas?
Alright I'm going to Vegas and want to bet on the superbowl. How does it work, do I just put up let say 2000 and if my team wins I get total of 4000 back? What is this point difference everyone is talking about?Do they have to win by a certain amount of points in order for me to win?
Gambling - 5 Answers
People's Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Illegally. I don't think you should risk asking this on line.
Answer 2 :
yes right now as we speak the giants are up 14 to nothing , so the Pats have to win by 15 to win, In Vegas. You can bet on every thing from the flip of the coin to who is going to score first. Good luck Also I do not know how the odds work, If you put 2000 on the pats you might only get 1000 of the house money plus your 2000 back Giants win you might get 2500 of the house money
Answer 3 :
The point difference is what is referred to as a "spread." A spread is created to essentially level the playing field. As you are aware, most of the world considers the Patriots to be a stronger team overall than the Giants. Because of this Vegas oddsmakers want to make it a little harder to bet on them. Therefore, they might make the Patriots (-13). This means that before the game even starts, if you are betting on the Pat's, you are down 13 to 0. So the Pat's must win the game by more than 13 to win your bet. On the other hand, the Giants would be a (+13) so you would be up 13-0 when the game kicks off. The Giants don't have to win the game to win your bet, they just can't lose by more than 13 points. Another popular bet in Vegas is called the "over/under", This is a number that Vegas will come up with, and it refers to the total amount of points scored by both teams during the game. It's your choice to bet whether the total points scored will be higher than that number or lower than that number. In that bet, it doesn't matter who wins the game but rather how many combined points are scored when the final whistle blows.
Answer 4 :
You can bet straight odds at the casino (who is going to win the Super Bowl) which by now would only pay 1to1. (Bet $1000/ win one thousand). There are also tons of bets that play on score at each quarter, the spread at the end of the game, the number of touchdown passes Tom Brady throws and those payout odds are all set by the casino. The best Super Bowl bet is before the season starts. Different casinos offer different odds for each time to win straight up next season. Pick a team with a reasonable chance to win, but not the Pats since they will be favored next year. Then go from casino to casino looking for the best odds from the team you want to bet on. You want something like 10 to 1 ($10 for every $1 bet). You can go for a longshot of course, but you want something with a nice payout but an actual chance of a Super Bowl appearance. After the season starts, the payouts on Super Bowl change depending on who is doing well in the season.
Answer 5 :
Generally betting the spread is a -110 bet. This means you must bet $110 to win $100. So, if you were to bet exactly $2000, you'd get $3818.18 back if you won. If you want to bet WITHOUT the point spread, they give specific odds for either team to win. Last I saw, it was about +650 for the Giants and -800 for the Pats. That means if you bet $100 on the Giants to win straight up, you'd get $650, and you'd have to bet $800 to win $100 if the Pats won. When you come here, don't be afraid to ask the attendant at the sportsbook questions. He will explain any and all of the bets to you in detail if you do not understand. Good luck and have fun.

About how old do you have to be to work in Las Vegas Nevada

How old do you have to be to work in Las Vegas Nevada?
I'm only 14 and a freshman, but really anxious to work, so I was wondering if anyone knew how old you have to be to get a work permit in Las Vegas, NV and also if you know how you would go about getting it, that would be great. Oh P.S.: If anyone knows the age you have to be to get your permit to drive, that would also be appreciated. I appreciate any information you can give me. Thank you, Taylor :)
Las Vegas - 2 Answers
People's Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
you can only work 16 hours a week 4 hours maximum a day need a workers permit in the state of nevada, you can get driver's permit at 15 and 1/2
Answer 2 :
14 or 15 with a worker's permit and there are a lot of restrictions that come along with this. 16 without a worker's permit, but a lot of places in town only hire at a minimum of age 18 and some places even 21. If you are 14, you would be required to get a permit to work- you can then work no more than 3 hours per day and not to total more than 18 hours per week. You have to be 15 1/2 to get a driver's permit. One of the biggest things you have to keep in mind is that the jobless rate in Nevada is over 14% and one of the worst in the nation. Who do you think is going to hire a 14 year old with no prior work experience, who has to depend on other's for a ride to work, and who can only work 18 hours per week? People with college degrees are bagging groceries in this town because there simply aren't jobs available. The odds of anywhere hiring you are slim to none. But still, it couldn't hurt to apply so you at least get the experience of filling out applications. Who knows if you'll get as far as an interview, but if you do, that would be a valuable experience too.

About do you need a work visa to apply for a sheriffs card and business licence in las vegas

do you need a work visa to apply for a sheriffs card and business licence in las vegas?
i am a uk citizen wanting to work in las vegas, do you need a work visa in order to obtain a sheriffs card and business lisence?
Immigration - 2 Answers
People's Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
If not, it should certainly be a requirement since you cannot lawfully work in the US with a proper visa.
Answer 2 :
You need an E-1 visa in order to open a business. To get one you have to invest at least $500,000 in the business and create a certain number of US jobs. Otherwise you are not going to get one. If you can afford to invest that kind of money, consult an immigration lawyer. There are no casino jobs other than for world famous entertainers that need to sponsor immigration.

About can I live and work in las vegas if im from the UK

Can I live and work in las vegas if im from the UK?
I am looking for a little variety in life and I would love to live and work in las vegas for a while, I am a qualified marketing professional, but I am from the UK. What are the chances of gaining a visa and a job?
Las Vegas - 6 Answers
People's Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
*face palms*
Answer 2 :
Zip..that's what your chances are. You cannot wok in he U.S. without a work visa, and that requires that you find an employer to sponsor your work visa. that happens only if you are highly skilled in a job for which an American citizen is not available.
Answer 3 :
Highly doubtful. The United States is in a recession, and 1 in 9 Americans are out of work. To legally work in the United States an American company would have to sponsor you because you have a job skill needed in the U.S., and there aren't enough qualified Americans to fill all the jobs. Currently to get a work visa you would need an ADVANCED degree, and years of specialized training in Medicine, Engineering, or Computer Technology. Trades/Crafts people (like marketers) will not qualify. There are too many unemployed American marketers looking for the jobs The U.K. has similar laws that prevents Americans from coming to your country and taking jobs away from qualified Brits.
Answer 4 :
Minimal. The economy in Vegas is the worst in the history of the State. The State, Clark County, Las Vegas and all surround cities have frozen hiring and laying people off by the hundreds. Business are open one day and gone the next.
Answer 5 :
You need a sponsor (employer) for a work visa - you can't apply for one on your own. http://travel.state.gov/visa/visa_1750.html Check with US companies in the UK and UK companies with offices in the USA. For example, Hilton and Marriott hire international staff as interns. UK citizens can visit the USA for up to 90 days as a tourist, so you could travel for interviews & tests if necessary. https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/ http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/without/without_1990.html http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/id_visa/business_pleasure/vwp/i94_samples.xml Search "international exchange programs USA" and there should be many links to programs that offer temporary and seasonal work in the US. Examples are: http://www.ccusa.com/country.aspx http://yummyjobs.com/ Do carefully check any programs you might be interested in as not all of them are a good deal. Note that it is equally difficult for an American to move to/work in the UK. Good luck!

About what do you have to do to work in a casino in Las Vegas

What do you have to do to work in a casino in Las Vegas?
I am moving to Las Vegas in 6 months. My question is what do I have to do first to work in a casino. How much is the course at the dealer school and how long does it take. Also, do you first have to have a Nevada drivers license to work in Las Vegas at a casino. Is there anything else that you need. I will be working at another job until I am either called or placed. Any information on this will be helpful. Thanks
Las Vegas - 3 Answers
People's Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
If you are going to work the tables you have to get a dealers license.
Answer 2 :
There are a lot of jobs in casinos. The people who empty the ash trays, cocktail servers, slot mechanics, security, dealers, pit bosses, managers. All jobs will require you to have a sheriff's card, which you obtain from the police dept. Casinos don't hire anyone who has a criminal history that involves stealing.
Answer 3 :
Yes you need a Sherrif's Card, TAM card (TECHNIQUES OF ALCOHOL MANAGEMENT CARD) and most likely (depending on employer), a health card as well. The Sherrif's card is 45$, the TAM card could be free if you have an employer set up, if not, it's 20$. But i know for sure you need a Sherrif's card to do any type of work in the casino. Dealer school i know two of them below, they are pretty good from what people say but i never been. How long it takes, well it depends on how many games you want to learn to play but courses are around $300 to $500 bucks again depending on how many games you want to learn. Give them a call and see what they say. Good Luck! My husband used to work in Las Vegas and now he transferred here in Alaska, what happens to his 401k in Vegas?
he worked in Vegas for a year in 2005. now he's been working here in Alaska for 2 years and he doesn't know what happened to his 401k back in vegas. is there a way to get it? is it still there with his vegas employer (Monte Carlo Hotel). please tell us what to do. thank you so much.
Personal Finance - 2 Answers
People's Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Yes, the money is probably not handled by the employer but by a trust the employer set up for the benefit of employess. It probably is highly protected. I believe the problem is that the 401K administrators don't have your new address, so you are not getting the statements. Call them to give them your new information. By the way, there are ways to transfer these funds to IRA's or other retirement plans (for example, a 401K with current employer), without any tax penalties. Ask your current retirement plan administrator or bank officer. They do these tranfers every day.
Answer 2 :
He needs to set up an IRA with Schwab (great company, more choices), Fidelity( good mutual funds), or Vanguard( good mutual funds). The company will have him sign the papers to do a roll over from the 401(k) into the IRA. They will take care of everything for you.

Nonstop. They are a huge district and subs are always in need. Plus, they are continuously short of teachers, so that adds more opportunities. I worked every day when I subbed.

About how doed Tahiti Village time share in Las Vegas work

How doed Tahiti Village time share in Las Vegas work?
I heard about Tahiti Village giving free hotel stays and tickits to free shows in Las Vegas. Has anyone done this and what is required when you get there? are there any required seminars or anything you have to buy to take advantage of this or is it just to get you to Vegas.
Las Vegas - 5 Answers
People's Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
You will get to select FREE tickets to what ever show they offer. There are several top shows to pick from. You will have to sit through a 3 to 4 hour presentation, showing you the Village and then a hard sales presentation one on one. Not as a group. There will be three hard pitches to sell you on the Village. Then they will see what tickets are available. They you will get your tickets. Now if you are going to buy into Tahite Village, it's a good deal. Just don't buy on the first sales pitch. The price is kinda price-eee!!! Just keep tilling them NO!!! They will bring out another person with a lower price and try to sell you on it. Tell them NO!!! it's just out of your price range, or something like that. The third time they will bring out another person who will even lower the price even further. They will have some excuse of why it is so low. This will be the lowest they will go. If you buy into it, this is the time to do it. Good luck and have fun in VEGAS BABY....
Answer 2 :
We have been offered "free" show tickets to get them you have to take a tour of the Tahiti village and sit through a boring presentation, you have to be a couple and I think own your own home. My time is worth more to me than a couple of cheap seats for a show. I have to say I would love to have the balls to go and answer every question "I have no intention of buying anything please can I have my show tickets now" - LOL
Answer 3 :
It is all about getting you there to try and pressure/tricking you into the sale. My wife and I do those every year we are in Vegas because we run out of sh*t to do in the day and has only taken about an hour or so. Then we get some free tickets to shows and gift certificates.
Answer 4 :
This is a time share HARD sell presentation where you must be at for at least two hours. Tahiti Village is not on the Strip and not an easy walking distance. And what two shows? Some times it is better to pay your own way and be in total control of your vacation time. And find a great deal and stay on the Strip. A time share is like an apartment you have one week (or more) you buy to use the place. It is equipment with furniture and linens, etc., but you have to leave it the way you found it. It is similar to a motel but you have a financial (long tern) committment. And you don't just get to pick THE week you want, rather what is available. I would strongly suggest you think about it before you invest.
Answer 5 :
The announcement makes it look as though you will get something valuable for nothing. But that is not true. You will have to earn it by sitting through a long sales pitch, often of more than two hours, and frequently using high pressure tactics. For that, you will earn the cheapest of the "gifts" listed.

There are probably schools close to Vegas, which you could attend during the day and work at night.

Yes, it is possible for you to work in Vegas during your education. There is a school in Las Vegas called UNLV (University of Nevada, Las Vegas) and there are a lot of job opportunities around the school as well.
