Answer 2 :
Zip..that's what your chances are. You cannot wok in he U.S. without a work visa, and that requires that you find an employer to sponsor your work visa. that happens only if you are highly skilled in a job for which an American citizen is not available.
Answer 3 :
Highly doubtful. The United States is in a recession, and 1 in 9 Americans are out of work. To legally work in the United States an American company would have to sponsor you because you have a job skill needed in the U.S., and there aren't enough qualified Americans to fill all the jobs. Currently to get a work visa you would need an ADVANCED degree, and years of specialized training in Medicine, Engineering, or Computer Technology. Trades/Crafts people (like marketers) will not qualify. There are too many unemployed American marketers looking for the jobs The U.K. has similar laws that prevents Americans from coming to your country and taking jobs away from qualified Brits.
Answer 4 :
Minimal. The economy in Vegas is the worst in the history of the State. The State, Clark County, Las Vegas and all surround cities have frozen hiring and laying people off by the hundreds. Business are open one day and gone the next.
Answer 5 :
You need a sponsor (employer) for a work visa - you can't apply for one on your own. http://travel.state.gov/visa/visa_1750.html Check with US companies in the UK and UK companies with offices in the USA. For example, Hilton and Marriott hire international staff as interns. UK citizens can visit the USA for up to 90 days as a tourist, so you could travel for interviews & tests if necessary. https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/ http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/without/without_1990.html http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/id_visa/business_pleasure/vwp/i94_samples.xml Search "international exchange programs USA" and there should be many links to programs that offer temporary and seasonal work in the US. Examples are: http://www.ccusa.com/country.aspx http://yummyjobs.com/ Do carefully check any programs you might be interested in as not all of them are a good deal. Note that it is equally difficult for an American to move to/work in the UK. Good luck!
